Have been coming here for a few years now. More recently most weekends for breakfast. Always a friendly welcome by all the staff. Food is spot on. Coffees are always decent. A nice relaxed atmosphere. Thanks guys :)

Update. Brilliant again last night. Nice vibes. Update. Nice mother's Day dinner Friendly and efficient team. Good food. The panko lemon sole was delicious We had a lovely time for my wife's birthday. The team were super attentive and the food excellent.

Came here for birthday celebrations with friends and family, we were all well looked after by the serving staff. Food was delicious and will be back to try more of the menu. Also a kind gesture for the staff to offer a free cocktail to the birthday girl.

You may not expect to find a gem of an eatery in an ex mining village but on my first visit to Wickersley I did just that. We had not booked but were shown to a table and advised that lunch service had not started it starts at 12.30 From the lovely Churchill cutlery to the bright and airy feel of this brasserie I was totally charmed. Fabulous art deco styling mixed with modernity make a great blend for contemporary dining with a relaxed feel. The food oh my days triple cooked chips the best I have tasted and the lunch menu was very reasonable. I had the posh fish finger sandwich The most impressive thing of note was the service which IMHO was as good as any Michelin star venue Sam (for that is his name) was the most attentive of server's without being overbearing so 5 if you want somewhere to socialise eat and enjoy cocktails I highly recommend the gaslamp

We visited as a group of 8 for the midweek deal and had a good meal - we especially enjoyed the goats cheese starter and the desserts. The service was outstanding - the staff were friendly and helpful, but they really came into their own when one of our group was taken ill. They could not have been more kind and caring - providing cushions on the floor, then calling an ambulance. They really made a difficult situation so much easier for us. Thank you

Great Sunday roast, Yorkshire puddings the size of your head absolutely brilliant. I had Gammon and Pork both were very tender and tasted great. Veg was nice, the roast carrot in treacle was a surprise but tasted so nice. The prawn cocktail starter had an extra spice about it. Would recommend booking as it gets busy.
